Formål purchased what was a tired duplex top floor flat situated within a mid-terrace Victorian property in Chelsea. Above the property was a neglected roof terrace with far reaching views across the Capital.
The roof terrace was the jewel in the crown of this property and our motivation for tackling the complex ownership structure to acquire the property.
Major renovation work was required to replace the existing roof structure and to refurbish the interior of the flat. All internal evidence that this was ever a Victorian property had vanished and so the property was treated as a blank canvas for a more modern design approach.
A fit-out commensurate with the prevailing lux of the locale was implemented. This included book-matched marble bathrooms, bespoke joinery and a Control 4 home integration system.
Despite the challenging market conditions at the time when the property was selling it was able to achieve a record price for the area.
